Orchards' Pastor:

Dr. Shaun M. Matako

Welcome to the Orchards Family!

My goal as the Lead Pastor here at Orchards is to help people to learn and grow to become more like Christ so they can live a life that is pleasing to God. We have an amazing purpose and strategy geared towards helping people who are far from God come to know Him, and those who know Him to know Him deeper.

As a Pastor, my goal is to share the love of Christ in real and tangible ways through life-giving ministry.

As a Teacher, my goal is to equip, empower and encourage you with the Word of God to bring you comfort. As you are comforted in your own life, you will become a comforter to others.

As a Counselor, my goal is to lovingly confront you where you are at and help to show how God’s Word is sufficient to your life-need. My desire is to help you think and act in a way that is pleasing to God.

When I’m not working in ministry on campus, I enjoy being involved in several local community functions with our public schools and community organizations. I have served with KIWANIS for many years and in the summer enjoy umpiring baseball, softball and riding my Kawasaki Vulcan in the mountains. My greatest joy in life though is loving on my wife Jodi of 25 years. She is an amazing inspiration that motivates me to be a better person in Christ. Together we have three wonderful children and six beautiful grandchildren who are scattered across America’s landscape.

There is always coffee on at Orchards so drop in and have a cup and lets visit. We’re going to love you right where you’re at.
